We don’t need to explain to anyone how amazing and joyful capturing a special moment in a photo can be, especially when that moment is family. The saying is tired but true, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words.’ Even though the phrase has existed for over a century, even today, after so many technological advancements, a photo, whether it be of family around a Christmas tree, or a random selfie, can carry so much happiness.

This year we are on the lookout for fresh faces who are happy to take part in a photoshoot for the William Campbell Foundation brand. We can do any day of the week that suits you! And yes, that includes weekends! We want to see you and your family in action! Whether this be playing at the park, cooking, going on a bush walk - we want to capture the essence of family! You will receive all photos FREE as our gift of thanks.

In 2017, we did our first free photoshoot! We travelled to many different areas around the South Coast, Illawarra and Southern Highlands with a professional photographer who took some wonderful shots of local families. We had an overwhelming number of families put their hands up to be involved.
​
Majority of them told us that they were extremely happy to be a part of the photoshoot because it made them feel like they were making a difference in a special way. They thought it was great for their kids to volunteer and do something that was very special for children who are in need.

We met some very special people along the way and were able to connect with the community and hear some amazing stories. The kids had an absolute blast doing the photoshoots! Most of our photoshoots were at a location convenient for the family. We visited places such as Ben’s Walk, Shellharbour Beach, Callala Beach, Lake Conjola, Albion Park, Killalea State Park and many more wonderful spots across our community.​

The free family photoshoot has also proven to be a great opportunity for the families as well. Families who were involved have let us know they have used their photos to create photobooks, fill their homes with pictures, and have given the photos to family members as gifts.

William Campbell Foundation is forever grateful for the support from these families, and to make the experience even more special for the families, we mailed any material produced with their photo to them to keep for their kids. A family wrote into us to tell us their son had taken one of the brochures he was on to his class for Show and Tell. This warmed our hearts knowing he loved being a part of such a special project!
