Building Confidence
Making a
difference
We need to learn how to cook, and how to use a washing machine, because that's what adults do. - Jillian, WCF Young Person
Are you able to teach teenagers life skills?

We can provide you with a 6-bedroom fully furnished home rent free, the use of a vehicle, an attractive allowance of $120,000 per annum, full training and a dedicated, support team to help you support young people as they build important and necessary life skills.
Our Supported Independent Living Program is looking for a couple who can support young people to gain the practical life skills they need to live independently in the Shoalhaven or Illawarra Regions. These skills include cooking, home duties, financial assistance and budgeting, career development and building health and positive relationships; all important and necessary life skills.
Can you teach them how to book a doctor’s appointment, apply for a job or cook a meal?

These young people will be referred to us through the Department of Communities and Justice (previously known as Family and Community Services), and with support from you and the program, they will transition into semi-independent living or leaving care. Each placement will be for a period of 3 - 12 months, based on the young person's needs.

Can you be the difference in a young persons life?
