  • Location: Illawarra/Shoalhaven

  • Part Time (25 hours per week) and Casual positions available

Program and Position Overview

 

William Campbell Foundation (WCF) is a not for profit Christian organisation that provides a range of services, including permanency support programs for children and young people. Additionally, WCF delivers therapeutic services to children, young people, individuals and families.

 

WCF is committed to child safe practices and permanency outcomes for children and young people in care to provide a positive, safe and healing experience that addresses trauma, attachment, self-regulation, culture and community needs.

The Active Support Worker (Disability) role is a person=centred position, designed to empower people living with disabilities to build meaningful and satisfying lives. 

​

As an Active Support Worker, you will be assisting children, young people and adults by providing support with:

​

  • Access to community, recreation, and social activities

  • Household tasks, including cleaning and meal preparation

  • Personal care, including hygiene and grooming

  • Medication administration and management

​

Key Requirements 

​

  • Minimum Certificate III in Disability Worker or relevant and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). 

  • Flexible availability and a commitment to serving and supporting people living with a disability.

  • Ability to demonstrate strategic and critical thinking skills whilst functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills with a high level of self-motivation.

  • Sound technology skills and understanding of, or willingness to learn, MYP (participant management system).

  • Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Check, current unrestricted Drivers Licence and access to two referees from current or previous Managers (within the last 2 - 5 years)
