Program and Position Overview

William Campbell Foundation (WCF) is a not for profit Christian organisation that provides a range of services, including permanency support programs for children and young people. Additionally, WCF delivers therapeutic services to children, young people, individuals and families.

 

WCF is committed to child safe practices and permanency outcomes for children and young people in care to provide a positive, safe and healing experience that addresses trauma, attachment, self-regulation, culture and community needs.

William Campbell Foundations Permanency Support Program fosters the implementation of quality permanency placement options for children and young people, including adoption, restoration, guardianship and long term foster care.

​

The ultimate aim of the Permanency Support Program is to achieve permanency, change, safety and protection for Children and Young People to improve cultural, social, emotional, health and educational outcomes. 

​

The role focuses on assessing and case managing the complex and individual needs of children and young people, their families and carers using therapeutic and trauma informed practice. 

​

Key Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma Level Qualifications in a relevant field (for example: Community Services, Youth Work) 

  • Preferable experience working with Children, Young People and/or Families. 

  • Knowledge and understanding of issues arising for children, young people and families when children and young people are placed in out of home care. 

  • Self motivation and high level communication skills, both verbal and written. 

  • High level organisational skills and attention to detail - to meet the administrative needs of the position.

  • Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Check.

  • Current Unrestricted Drivers Licence.

  • Access to two referees from current or previous Managers (within the last 2 - 5 years)
