Becoming a Volunteer.
Becoming a WCF Volunteer

We are always looking for those special people who are willing to give their time to children and young people.

What are some of the programs Volunteers can be involved in?
-
School Holiday Activities
-
Shine Camps
-
Kids Club
-
Homework Club
-
Learner Driver Supervision
-
Mentoring
-
Events
-
and more!

If you feel you have something to offer to our children and young people that could benefit them we encourage you to fill out an enquiry form or give us a call. Sometimes our volunteers support the above programs and other times they offer something new and different to the children and young people e.g. tutoring.

School Holiday Activities
Our Chaplaincy, Wellbeing and Support team put together fantastic school holiday programs for our children and young people. These activities including fun days in Sydney or at Jamberoo Action Park or bike rides, hikes, etc.
Kids Club

If you are fun, energetic and enthusiastic and love working with kids, then our Kids Club could be a great volunteer opportunity for you! WCF Kids Clubs are part of our therapeutic approach to supporting the spiritual growth and wellbeing of our children and young people.

Kids Club also provides children with the opportunity to develop social skills and strong and healthy relationships with their peers and staff. We would love our volunteers to bring their skills to Kids Club in areas such as:
-
Supervision/group support
-
Facilitating games and group activities
-
Teaching kids a new skill/activity
-
Scripture teaching
-
Clean up
-
Transport
Learner Driver Supervision
We are interested in recruiting volunteers who have near-perfect driving records to help assist our young people to achieve their Learner Driver license and required hours.

Mentoring
If mentoring is your passion, support our children and young people through mentoring sessions. When children have a mentor, it can sometimes open up their world to many possibilities, learn new skills and engage in opportunities.

Events
WCF is involved in many events in the Shoalhaven and Illawarra. Our volunteers are able to participate in events and help out with managing the stall for the day. All our events are fun-filled events with the opportunity to engage with our local community.
