Program and Position Overview

 

William Campbell Foundation (WCF) is a not for profit Christian organisation that provides a range of services, including permanency support programs for children and young people. Additionally, WCF delivers therapeutic services to children, young people, individuals and families.

 

WCF is committed to child safe practices and permanency outcomes for children and young people in care to provide a positive, safe and healing experience that addresses trauma, attachment, self-regulation, culture and community needs.

The role of Family Support Services Coordinator provides support and guidance to a team of Casual Community Support workers in implementing quality wrap around services including supervised family time, transport, mentoring and family preservation to both WCF’s Permanency Support Program and external services.

Key Position Responsibilities 

  • Demonstrate effective organisational and time management skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Provide quotes to internal and external programs and maintain financial information as required. 

  • Assess submitted referrals and support the allocation of work to staff, ensuring it is equitable, appropriate and relevant to staff skill level.

  • Support and assist in the delivery of collaborative services, with respect to the culture and context of each individual child or young person’s circumstances, inclusive of family and community.

  • Work collaboratively with Internal William Campbell Foundation programs, Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) as well as other stakeholders, in promoting and supporting outcomes for Children and Young People.

  • Possess high level effective and respectful communication skills with the ability to develop relationships with other WCF staff, carers, referring agencies and all other identified stakeholders. 

  • Possess an understanding of child development, including knowledge of the context and impact of issues arising from children and young people being removed from their family and significant others.
